Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 22, 2026
This policy explains, in plain language, what personal information Groupe Integro Inc. collects through this website and in the course of its work, why we collect it, how long we keep it, who else sees it, and what you can ask us to do about it. It is written to meet our obligations under Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as amended by Law 25.
1. Who we are
The business responsible for the personal information described here is:
Groupe Integro Inc.

St. Leonard, Quebec H1R 2H4
Canada
RBQ: 5736-7906-01
We are a general contractor operating in Quebec. This policy, and any dispute about it, is governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
The person responsible for the protection of personal information at Groupe Integro Inc. is:
Joey D'Anna, Owner
Email (privacy matters): integro@videotron.ca
Mail: Privacy Officer, Groupe Integro Inc., 8585 rue Marjolaine, St. Leonard, Quebec H1R 2H4
Write to him directly with any privacy question, any request about your information, or any complaint. He is the person who answers them.
2. What personal information we collect
We only collect what we need. In practice that is:
Information you give us through a form on this site
This site has two forms that collect personal information, and each language version of the site has its own copy of them.
The quote request form (the "Get Started" page) asks for:
- your first and last name;
- your email address;
- your telephone number;
- your company name, if you give one — this field is optional;
- the city where the work would take place;
- the date you would like the work to start;
- the type of property and the type of work (exterior, interior, project management);
- a description of the project, plus anything else you choose to type into the message box;
- up to five files you choose to attach — a photo or a PDF such as a plan or an existing quote;
- a separate, optional tick-box asking whether you also want to receive occasional marketing emails from us. It is never ticked for you.
The unsubscribe form asks only for the email address you want removed from our marketing list, plus your name and a message if you wish to add them.
Information we collect when a project goes ahead
- billing and contact details for the contract and the invoice;
- photographs and notes taken on the job site to document the work;
- payment records — we do not store full credit card numbers; a payment is handled by the financial institution or payment provider, and we keep only the record that it was made.
Information collected automatically when you browse
- your IP address, approximate region, browser and device type;
- the pages you view, when, and the site that sent you here;
- identifiers set by the audience-measurement cookie described in section 8;
- technical signals used to tell a real visitor from an automated one when a form is submitted.
We do not ask for and do not want sensitive information such as a health record, a social insurance number or a banking password. Please do not put that kind of detail in a form message.
3. Why we collect each piece
Each item has a specific use. Nothing is collected "for business purposes" in the abstract.
| What we collect | What we use it for |
|---|---|
| First and last name | To address you properly in our reply, on the quote, and on the contract. |
| Email address | To send you the quote you asked for, to answer your question, and to send project updates and the invoice. |
| Telephone number | To call you back about your request, to arrange a site visit, and to reach you about scheduling on the day of the work. |
| Company name (optional) | To make out the quote and the invoice to the right party when the work is for a business, a landlord or a building syndicate. |
| City, and the property or job-site address once we have it | To check the job is in an area we serve, to visit and measure the site, to prepare an accurate price, to obtain permits where needed, and to send our crew and suppliers to the right place. |
| Desired start date | To tell you honestly whether we can meet that date and to place the job in our schedule. |
| Property type and type of work | To route your request to the right team and price the right kind of job. |
| Project description and message | To understand the work you want and prepare a quote that matches it. |
| Photos, plans and files you attach | To assess the condition of the site before a visit and to prepare the estimate. |
| Marketing tick-box, and the wording, language and date of your answer | To send you occasional marketing emails only if you asked for them, and to be able to show exactly what you agreed to and when. |
| Job-site photos and notes taken by us | To document progress, to support the warranty on our work, and to resolve any later question about what was done. |
| Billing details and payment records | To invoice you, to collect payment, and to keep the accounting and tax records the law requires us to keep. |
| IP address, device and browsing data | To serve the pages, keep the site available and protect it from abuse. |
| Audience-measurement identifiers | To count visits and see which pages people actually read, so we can improve them. |
| Anti-spam signals on forms | To block automated junk submissions so real requests reach us. |
If we ever want to use information we already hold for a new purpose that is not listed above, we will come back and ask you first.
4. Our legal basis for each collection
Under Quebec law we must be able to say why we are allowed to hold each piece of information. Here is the basis, item by item:
- With your consent — everything you type into a form and send us, and the photos, plans or files you attach. You give that consent by filling in the form and pressing send, for the purpose written beside that form; you can see what you are sending before you send it, and you can simply not send it.
- With your separate consent, for marketing emails — this one is asked for on its own, because the law requires it to be. The quote form carries a tick-box that is empty until you tick it yourself, worded in the language you are reading the site in, and nothing about your quote changes if you leave it empty. When you do tick it, we record the exact wording you agreed to, the language it was shown in and the date, so that we can always show what you consented to. Every marketing email we send carries an unsubscribe link, and the unsubscribe page lets you withdraw at any time in one step — each withdrawal is recorded with the date we received it.
- Necessary to prepare or carry out our contract with you — your name, contact details, job-site address, project details, job-site photographs, billing details and payment records once you accept a quote. We cannot price, schedule, perform or invoice construction work without them.
- Required or permitted by law — invoices, contracts and accounting records, which tax and commercial law requires us to keep for a set period, and records we must hold under the Régie du bâtiment du Québec licensing rules and our warranty obligations.
- Allowed without your consent because it is genuinely necessary to run and protect the site — the small amount of technical information needed to deliver a page to your browser, keep the site available, and stop spam and abuse, including the anti-spam check on our forms. We do not rely on "legitimate interest" for this: that is a concept from European law, not one of the grounds Quebec law gives us. The Quebec Act lets us collect personal information only where we have a serious and legitimate reason for doing so and only what is necessary for that reason (sections 4 and 5), and it lets us use that information without asking you first where doing so is necessary to prevent and detect fraud or to evaluate and improve our security measures (section 12). In everyday terms: we keep the bare minimum needed to serve the page and keep the site from being attacked or flooded with junk, and nothing more. It is not used to build a profile of you.
- Audience measurement — no lawful basis at present, and we would rather say so plainly than leave a gap in this list. The Google Analytics tag described in section 8 loads on every page the moment that page opens. Counting how many people read which page is not necessary to deliver this site to you or to protect it, so the ground in the bullet above does not cover it. You have not consented to it either, because this site does not yet offer you any way to say yes or no before the tag starts. And no other ground in Quebec law applies to it. So this one collection currently rests on no lawful basis, and we are not going to dress it up as consent. We have asked the provider of this website to put a consent banner in place, and we will name here the date that work is committed to. Once the banner is live, this collection will rest on your consent, and this bullet will be rewritten to say so: you will be asked on your first visit, before the measurement tag loads; your answer — yes or no — will be recorded and remembered on your device for six months; refusing will stop the tag from loading at all, rather than merely hiding it; and you will be able to change your answer at any time from a link kept on every page. Until that day, section 8 lists the ways you can refuse this measurement yourself, and each of them works today.
When we ask for your consent, we ask for it separately from anything else, in clear terms, for a specific purpose. You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to integro@videotron.ca. Withdrawing consent does not undo what was lawfully done before, and it may mean we can no longer provide a quote or complete work already underway — we will tell you plainly if that is the case.
5. How long we keep it
| Category | How long | Why that long |
|---|---|---|
| Form submissions — quote requests and messages that do not become a project | 365 days from the date you sent it | So we can follow up on a request, answer a returning enquiry and show what was quoted. After a year the enquiry is no longer useful to us. |
| Customer contact details, contracts, invoices and payment records | 7 years after the end of the transaction | Tax, accounting and commercial-law record-keeping obligations, and the period during which a claim about the work may still be made. |
| Project records and job-site photographs | 7 years, with the transaction record | To support the warranty on our work and to answer any later question about what was built. |
| Website analytics data | 14 months | Long enough to compare one season against the same season last year; no longer. |
| Marketing consent and unsubscribe records | For as long as we send marketing email, and afterwards for as long as we must be able to prove the choice you made | An unsubscribe record has to outlive the address it removes — otherwise we could not stop emailing you. |
When a period ends, the information is destroyed securely, or permanently anonymized so that it can no longer be linked to anyone, and kept only as statistics.
6. Who else handles your information
We do not sell your personal information, and we never rent or trade it. A limited number of outside parties handle some of it on our behalf, each for one defined job. Every one of them is bound by a written agreement that limits them to what we ask, requires them to protect the information and forbids them from using it for their own purposes.
| Role | What it receives | Why | Where it is processed |
|---|---|---|---|
| Website hosting and platform provider (Nestor) | Everything submitted through the site, plus server logs | To run this website and deliver your form submission to us | Quebec, Canada (shared production infrastructure, region ca-qc-bhs) |
| Audience measurement (Google Analytics, operated by Google LLC) | Pages viewed, approximate region, device and browser, cookie identifiers, IP address | To count visits and see which pages are useful | Outside Quebec — United States and other countries where Google operates |
| Form spam protection (Cloudflare Turnstile, operated by Cloudflare, Inc.) | Technical signals about the submission and your IP address. It does not receive what you typed. | To tell a real visitor from a bot so genuine requests reach us | Outside Quebec — Cloudflare's global network, including servers outside Canada |
| Subcontractors and tradespeople on your project | Your name, job-site address, telephone number and the scope of work | So they can reach the site, reach you, and do the part of the job assigned to them | Quebec, Canada |
| Accounting and bookkeeping services | Invoices and payment records | To keep our books and meet tax obligations | Quebec, Canada |
| Payment and financial institutions | The payment instruction and amount | To take payment. We never receive or store your full card number. | Canada |
What is not on this list, and why. Earlier versions of this policy also named Google Tag Manager, Google Ads, the Meta (Facebook) pixel and an embedded Google Map. None of those are used on this website today — there is no tag-manager container, no advertising tag, no social-media pixel and no embedded map in its code, and so none of them receive anything about you from this site. We have removed them from the list rather than leave you with a longer one than the truth requires. If we add any of them later, we will add them to this table and update section 8 before they start collecting anything.
We may also disclose information without your consent where the law requires it — for example under a court order, a subpoena, or a lawful demand from a public authority.
7. Information that leaves Quebec
To be clear about this, because it matters:
- Stays in Quebec: everything you send us through a form, our copy of your project file, contracts, invoices, job-site photographs and our email. The website itself is hosted on infrastructure located in Quebec, Canada.
- Leaves Quebec: the browsing data handled by the two outside providers named in section 6 — Google Analytics for audience measurement, and Cloudflare Turnstile for form spam protection. That data — pages viewed, device and browser information, IP address and cookie identifiers — is processed in the United States and, depending on the provider, on servers in other countries. It does not include the content of your form message, your project file or your payment records.
Before entrusting any of that information outside Quebec, we assessed whether it would receive protection equivalent to what Quebec law requires — looking at the sensitivity of the data (low: browsing signals, not project or financial detail), the purpose, the protections the provider contractually commits to, and the legal framework of the country concerned. We concluded the transfer was acceptable on that basis, and each provider is bound by a written agreement covering it. We review that assessment when a provider or a practice changes. If you would like to know more about a specific provider, write to our privacy officer.
8. Cookies and tracking
A cookie is a small file a site stores in your browser. Here is exactly what this site uses today — not what a site of this kind usually uses.
- Strictly necessary — what is needed to load the pages, remember your language choice and submit a form safely, including the Cloudflare Turnstile anti-spam check. The site does not work without these. They rest on the ground described in the fifth bullet of section 4, not on your consent.
- Audience measurement — a single Google Analytics tag that counts visits and records which pages are read, from roughly which region, on what kind of device. It does not carry your name, your message or your project details.
Being straight with you about consent. The audience-measurement tag loads on every page at the moment the page opens, before you have been asked anything. This site does not yet display a consent banner, so you cannot accept or refuse that tag through the site itself, there is no per-category toggle to set, and no record of your choice is kept — because no choice is offered to you. We would rather say that here than describe it as something you agreed to. A banner that asks first, stores your answer and lets you change it later has been requested from the provider of this website; when it is live, this section will be rewritten to explain how it works, and only then will this tag wait for your answer before it loads. The sixth bullet of section 4 sets out exactly where this collection stands legally in the meantime.
In the meantime, you can refuse it, and each of these works today:
- install Google's official opt-out add-on for your browser — it switches Google Analytics off on every site you visit, including this one;
- block or delete cookies, or block third-party cookies specifically, in your browser — look under Settings, then Privacy;
- turn on your browser's tracking protection, or its "do not track" setting;
- or write to integro@videotron.ca and ask us to delete the measurement records associated with you. We will ask the provider to delete them and confirm to you when it is done.
Refusing audience measurement does not affect your ability to browse the site, ask for a quote or send us a form. Nothing on this site is withheld from a visitor who refuses.
What this site does not set. No advertising cookie, no cross-site profiling cookie, no social-media pixel and no map cookie are set by this site. We do not use Google Tag Manager, Google Ads, the Meta pixel or an embedded Google Map here.
9. Your rights
Quebec law gives you real control over the information we hold about you. You may ask us to:
- See it — obtain confirmation that we hold personal information about you and receive a copy of it, along with what we use it for and who has received it;
- Correct it — have anything inaccurate, incomplete or out of date fixed;
- Delete it — have it deleted, or have us stop sharing it, where the law allows and where we are not required to keep it (for example, we cannot delete an invoice before the seven-year record-keeping period ends);
- Receive it in a portable form — get the computerized information you gave us in a structured, commonly used technology format, or have us send it to someone else you name;
- Withdraw your consent — at any time, for anything we hold on the basis of consent, including marketing emails. To stop marketing emails, use the unsubscribe link in any of our emails, or the form at groupeintegro.com/unsubscribe — we record every unsubscribe request with the date we received it. For audience measurement, see the ways to refuse listed in section 8;
- Ask about a decision — see section 11.
How to make a request. Write to our privacy officer, Joey D'Anna, at integro@videotron.ca, or by mail at Groupe Integro Inc., 8585 rue Marjolaine, St. Leonard, Quebec H1R 2H4. Tell us what you want and give us enough detail to find your file — for example the email address or job-site address you used. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we release anything, so that we do not hand your information to someone else.
We will answer within 30 days of receiving your request, as Quebec law requires. The response is free. If a request is exceptionally complex we will tell you so within that same 30 days and explain when to expect the rest. If we refuse a request, in whole or in part, we will tell you in writing why, cite the provision we rely on, and explain how to challenge our answer.
10. Children
Our services are directed at adults — property owners, managers and businesses who can enter into a construction contract. We do not knowingly collect personal information about anyone under 14 years of age, and nothing on this site is aimed at children. If we learn that we hold information about a child under 14 that was given without the consent of a parent or guardian, we delete it. If you believe a child has sent us information, write to integro@videotron.ca and we will remove it.
11. Automated decisions and profiling
We do not make any decision about you by purely automated means. No price, schedule, credit assessment or refusal of work is produced by software on its own. Every quote we send and every decision about a project is prepared and reviewed by a person at Groupe Integro. We also do not build profiles of visitors to predict their behaviour. The audience-measurement tool described above reports aggregate patterns across all visitors; it is not used to make a decision about any individual.
If that ever changes, we will tell you at the time the decision is made, explain the main information and factors used, and give you the right to have a person review it.
12. If there is a confidentiality incident
If personal information we hold is lost, accessed without authorization, disclosed or used improperly, we treat it as a confidentiality incident. We will:
- act immediately to contain the incident and limit the harm;
- assess whether it presents a risk of serious injury — looking at how sensitive the information is, how it could be misused, and how likely that is;
- notify the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (CAI) and every affected person promptly — within 72 hours of confirming an incident that presents a risk of serious injury, and sooner where we can. Quebec law requires us to notify with diligence and does not itself fix a deadline in hours; the 72-hour limit is a commitment we make to you on top of it;
- tell affected people what happened, what information was involved, what we are doing about it and what they can do to protect themselves;
- keep a register of every confidentiality incident, whether or not it required notification, and provide that register to the CAI on request.
13. Complaints
If you are not satisfied with how we handled your information or your request, please tell our privacy officer first at integro@videotron.ca — most problems are fixed quickly that way. Tell us what happened and what you would like us to do; we will answer in writing.
You also have the right, at any time and without going through us first, to complain directly to Quebec's privacy regulator. The Commission can investigate, order us to act, and review a decision we made about one of your requests:

14. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and change the date below. Where a change is significant, we will say so clearly and, if the law requires it, ask for your consent again.
Our Terms of Use cover your use of the website itself.
